RPF (Refuse Paper and Plastic Fuel) Plant

RPF Plant

This plant was opened in 1986 as the first intermediate treatment recycling plant in Japan to produce RDF*1 from various wastes. In May 2005, due to structural changes in industries, we upgraded the plant to accommodate the changing characteristics of waste. Now, the plant enables the production of much stable RPF*2 by using a strict pre-sort process from mixed wastes. This plant is one of the few plants that have obtained intermediate treatment permits for both general and industrial waste. A variety of clients ranging from local governments to private enterprises use this plant. It is also registered as a recycling business entity based on the “Containers and Packaging Recycling law”, which was put into force in April 2000.

Game machine recycling

Recycle Flowchart
More than 4 million game machines are manufactured and replaced annually and a tremendous amount of used machines are discarded. IKE began a recycling service for game machines in December 2002. We use the hand-sort method to improve accuracy in sorting and recycling of valuable materials.

Plastic Container and Packaging Compression Facility
Plastic containers and packaging materials collected from households are sorted, compressed, packaged, stored, and sent to recycling companies.

Recycling used paper and cardboard
Used paper has the greatest presence among all wastes as well as very high rate for recycling and reuse. IKE offers total solutions for used paper and cardboard through sorting, storage, and recycling. We also provide a safe discard service for secret documents.

Recycling toner cartridges
IKE began a recycling service for toner cartridges in December 2002. Recycling toner cartridges has been a difficult challenge for this industry. However, our hand-sorting method can eliminate the risk of dust explosion from the fine particles found in toners. We sort and recycle materials, such as plastic, metal, and aluminum.

Transshipment and Storage facility
IKE has a transshipment and storage facility for various types of industrial waste. This facility functions as a distribution base for efficient collection and transportation, while it is also used as a storage facility when the intermediate treatment facility is unavailable because of regular maintenance and other reasons. It owns various trucks and vehicles for transportation.
